Hunter B. McMullin, III is Of Counsel in the firm’s Pennsylvania office. He is an experienced litigator focusing his practice on the defense of complex product liability, fire loss, and subrogation matters. He has represented a wide range of local, national, and international manufacturers and distributors, including those involved in tools, electrical components, paint, automatic doors, construction equipment, heavy machinery, and industrial systems.
With over 15 years of experience as a volunteer firefighter, Hunter brings firsthand knowledge of fire science and NFPA codes and standards, offering a unique advantage in fire loss litigation-both in the courtroom and on-site at the fire scene. Known for his collaborative approach, Hunter takes time to understand his clients and their products, building long-term partnerships that extend beyond litigation.
Before joining Littleton Joyce Ughetta and Kelly, Hunter practiced with an AmLaw 200 firm in its Philadelphia office where he represented tool, industrial equipment, and electrical component manufacturers in high stakes litigation. He has been named a Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers Rising Star for Pennsylvania in 2024 and 2025. Hunter is the co-author of Pennsylvania Products Liability: Seventh Edition, published in 2025, which provides an authoritative and comprehensive review of Pennsylvania products liability law.
Hunter earned his J.D. from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where he was a standout member of the nationally ranked Trial Team. He was a National Champion at the National Board of Trial Advocacy’s Tournament of Champions, a Regional Champion and National Quarterfinalist at the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Competition, and a finalist at the University of Denver’s Summit Cup. For his exceptional performance, he received the Kline Award for Outstanding Advocacy, as well as CALI Awards in Land Use Law and Advanced Trial Advocacy: Civil. He served as a teaching assistant in Advanced Trial Advocacy. Hunter holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Alabama.
Since 2009, he has served as a volunteer firefighter with the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore in Lower Merion Township. He was elected to the company’s Board of Directors in 2019 and currently chairs its Bylaw Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club.
