Chris is a seasoned trial attorney with over a decade of first-chair litigation experience. His practice focuses on product liability, contract disputes, catastrophic accidents, commercial litigation, and medical malpractice defense. He is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Prior to joining Littleton Joyce, Chris practiced at one of New England’s largest civil defense firms, obtaining exceptional results for his clients at the trial and appellate levels. In one of his most recent victories, Chris prevailed in a matter pending before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and developed new law regarding the enforceability of contracts in the digital age. In Good v. Uber Techs., Inc., 494 Mass. 116 (2024), the Court agreed with Chris’s arguments that a user need not actually read the terms of an online agreement for it to be binding so long as the user was provided with a reasonable opportunity to do so. The case fostered the establishment of fundamental online contracting principles shaping how businesses create contracts with their customers in the digital age.

Before entering private practice, Chris served as a prosecutor and defense counsel in the United States Air Force. He tried more than 20 bench and jury trials involving serious criminal offenses, earning a strong record of convictions in high-profile drug distribution and sexual assault cases. As a defense counsel, he secured multiple full acquittals for his clients. In his final military assignment, Chris served as an appellate defense counsel, representing clients before the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Department of Justice, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor offenses committed on federal property in the Western District of Missouri.
