Yong Jin Park primarily focuses
on the defense of products liability lawsuits, insurance and
reinsurance coverage disputes and commercial litigations.
Mr. Park has served the Korean insurance industry for two
decades.
Responding to the needs of the Korean insurance
industry – with respect to the products liability area
in particular – Mr. Park has defended a number of Korean
manufacturers and their subsidiaries throughout the United
States. He has been responsible for the coordination of the
defense of numerous Korean products, including, but not limited
to, tires, motorcycle helmets, seat belts, wire ropes, nails,
steel pipes, excavators, forklifts, skid steer loaders, cellular
telephones, microwave ovens, televisions, air conditioners,
refrigerators and other home appliances.
Mr. Park’s ability to communicate
efficiently with the Korean defendants has streamlined the
discovery process and developed successful defense strategies
that have resulted in early dismissal, summary judgment, or
advantageous settlements in multi-million dollar lawsuits
brought against Korean companies. In addition, his bilingual
abilities have enabled his Korean clients to deal with discovery
issues in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Mr.
Park is knowledgeable about Korean companies’ businesses
and their practices in the North American marketplace. He
is also thoroughly familiar with jurisdictional issues that
can be an important defense strategy for Korean defendants
in the U.S. litigation.
