Robert Joyce has extensive
experience in advocacy and trial practice. His practice has
focused on insurance coverage and other commercial litigation,
products liability and toxic tort litigation.
In the area of insurance coverage, Mr. Joyce
has been lead counsel for clients in major complex commercial
litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. He has
earned a reputation for careful, innovative, aggressive and
effective representation, often in opposition to some of the
largest corporations in the world. He has also counseled clients
on the applicability of coverage under liability, property
and professional liability policies.
In the area of toxic tort litigation he
has litigated matters including asbestos bodily injury and
property damage cases, sick building, mold and lead cases
as well as workplace chemical exposure and toxic fire cases.
Mr. Joyce has represented a variety of manufacturers
and distributors in products liability litigation and has
served in the role of national coordinating counsel. In the
course of that role on behalf of various firearms manufacturers,
importers and distributors he served on both the steering
committee and trial teams in a widely reported successful
defense against a series of industry-wide litigations commenced
by state attorney generals and other governmental agencies
and entities across the country.
